PowerBackup is a sophisticated PC backup solution to secure your valuable digital data from accidental data loss. It analyzes, sorts, and archives your files onto a hard drive, disc, or removable storage media, then logs the backup results for when you need to restore the data or search for files in the archive. PowerBackup supports a broad range of CD/DVD burners, thus you can expect excellent compatibility, including double layer DVD+R/RW burning on a blank 8.5GB disc. The task-based user interface design makes PowerBackup easy to comprehend, and in each task category, a step-by-step guide ensures that you can't go wrong. For advanced users, PowerBackup offers options such as Incremental and Differential backup methods. Backups can be scheduled at regular intervals in the Scheduler. All of these features make PowerBackup a convenient, reliable, and feature-rich product that suits the needs of every user who sees the importance of backing up his or her important data.
Step-by-step process:
-Select your source, destination, and options, then back up your files. PowerBackup simplifies the backup process even for novice users. Restoring and comparing data are just as simple.
Full, Incremental, and Differential backup methods:
-You can back up all selected files or just these that have been modified since the last backup.
Broad support for archival media:
-Supports CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, and DVD-RAM discs, as well as IDE or removable hard drives, Jazz drives, ZIP drives, Flash drives, and other PnP-compliant devices. For DVD+R/RW, double layer 8.5GB burners are also supported.
Multi-volume backup:
-Enables automatic splitting of a large volume of data across several archive media. Archives can be split and spanned onto different storage media according to your preference.
Best-fit storage:
-Allows data backup according to the available disc space, even if the disc already contains files.
Backup scheduling:
-Enables predefined archiving at regular periods ?once, daily, weekly, or monthly. Also supports postponing the backup until you reschedule.
Data compression:
-Maximizes the use of your storage space.
Password protection:
-Offers increased security for your backed-up data.
File filtering:
-Utilizes an exclusion list so that files with the specified extensions are not backed up. You can choose from a list of extensions registered in the system, or specify extensions manually.
Comparison function:
-Ensures data integrity by comparing the archive with the original data.
Backup Catalog:
-Provides complete reporting of all archiving and restoring activities.
Streaming data burning:
- Writes data directly to disc without a temporary buffer.
Search tool:
-Locates specific file(s) in an archive or from the backup Catalog.
Disc appending:
-Appends new data to writable discs that are not full or closed.

1. Before installing CyberLink PowerBackup, check your system resources in order to obtain optimal performance.
2. In order to avoid compatibility issues, please close all other software and utility applications, including virus scans and instant messaging software, during installation.
3. Enable the DMA setting for your hard drive and CD/DVD burning drive to obtain the best copying performance. (To enable the DMA setting, open the Control Panel, then click System > Hardware. Click the Device Manager button. Open the IDE/ATAPI controller option, then double-click Secondary IDE Channel. Click the Advanced Settings tab. In the Transfer Mode drop-down box, choose Use DMA.)
4. Burning issues: If PowerBackup fails to detect your installed burning drive, please check our web site or call our tech support. We will have updates for supporting the latest burning drives.
